Our service is aware of our collective responsibility to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives within our program. By embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our programmes and routines, we role model to the children from a young age that reconciliation is our ultimate goal and vision for Australia. We plan to engage the children of our service by weaving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives throughout our programs in an appropriate and respectful manner. Our service will continue to create a welcoming environment that creates a feeling of belonging that will reflect a sense of cultural responsiveness and inclusion throughout the service for all visitors. Educators will also continue to take part in cultural training at a local level and share their experiences with one another so we together can continue our journey towards our outcome of reconciliation.
