St Thomas More Primary School’s vision for reconciliation is respecting everyone by learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We will foster an understanding of the unique connections Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to family and Country. We will value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and embed them into authentic everyday practice with confidence and respect. We will learn and respectfully share knowledge learnt through connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our school and community. As a school community, we are committed to acknowledging the wrongs that occurred in the past against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, actively saying sorry, and moving forward with mutual respect and understanding creating strong relationships, for a better future as one.
