Moonta Area School

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Moonta Area School is committed in continuing the journey of reconciliation through the celebration and promotion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and histories throughout the school.

We recognise and understand historical truths and aim to make amends through informed teaching that aims to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures throughout all curriculum areas, in particular, knowledge and teachings of the Nharangga people, and are motivated to provide an equitable and accessible curriculum that results in equal opportunities within the school and community for all students across all year levels.

It is our hope, that through continuing to practice actions that promote the strengthening of relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous students, staff and community members, that Moonta Area School will move forward together in the reconciliation journey now and in the future.
