The Wallaroo Mines Primary School (WMPS) vision for reconciliation is to respectfully acknowledge, deepen awareness and understanding of First Nations Peoples rich and ongoing cultures, histories and achievements in a safe and empowering environment. WMPS will continue to respect, value and celebrate the cultures and acknowledge the true histories of First Nation peoples, strengthening our understanding and knowledge of the oldest living cultures in the world. We respectfully recognise and acknowledge that the Nharangga People are the Traditional Land Owners of the Country on which our school stands. WMPS will continue to strive to make reconciliation everyone’s business in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. We will continue to promote and prioritise reconciliation and education about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures by fostering a safe respectfully and stimulating environment. Our reconciliation journey will respectfully educate and continue to foster meaningful relationships with our students, families, staff and the wider community and Nharangga Peoples and their culture. .
