At Keller Road Primary our core values as a school are Knowledge, Respect and Success and these values guide our reconciliation journey.    Our vision is to We will show our understanding of reconciliation through learning together and growing as a whole community to help foster meaningful relationships between all Australia's First Nations peoples and the wider non-Indigenous community. members. Our aim for reconciliation is to continue to provide an culturally responsive environment that makes each student, staff and visitor to our school feel welcome. Understanding that the students of today have the potential to be future leaders, we will also support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students’ empowerment and foster equal and equitable opportunities for all students to succeed and create pathways for staff, students, families and the wider to community to deepen their understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures.  We will acknowledge that each and every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student is capable, and we will engage all students in actively recognising the significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures in shaping the learners and leaders we have today. As a school, we will foster unity between staff, students, families and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and  and all members of our educational and wider local community. To achieve our vision for reconciliation, we are committed to:  •fostering equal and equitable opportunities for Aboriginal students,  families and community members to engage in learning and school life  •developing respectful relationships with families and community members  •actively recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Nations peoples of Australia  •Respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across the school and curriculum •providing a platform for the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and community members to be actively listened to by the school community.
