Mutdapilly State School

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our RAP will help to build a culturally aware workforce, improve on appropriate practices, and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

Mutdapilly State School understands that reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians is the responsibility of all Australians.  We recognise the significance of belonging for all children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, for them to grow and reach their full potential.

Our vision is to work collaboratively and provide leadership to others in supporting relationships that are respectful, welcoming and inclusive for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all members of our School community.

We believe in promoting equality and equity in alignment with Closing the Gap targets: "Our shared commitment to closing the gap is a natural extension of the dream this Government has for every Australian - safety, security and prosperity and a fair go for all" - Malcolm Turnbull Prime Minister's Report to Parliament Closing the Gap 2018.
