We envision a school community united in respect, understanding, and reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people, lives in the hearts and minds of everyone. We envision a school community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their histories, cultures, and contributions, are valued, and First Nations perspectives are embedded across all learning and school life. Through authentic partnerships with our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our local community, we strive to celebrate First Nations peoples and their diverse cultural identities, and promote opportunities for sharing our knowledge about reconciliation with educators, students, families and community. At Leppington Public School, reconciliation means acknowledging and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander rights, knowledge, and experiences. We are committed to building a culture of equity, inclusivity, and belonging, where all students, staff, and community members work together, alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to create a reconciled and united future.
