Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that acknowledge, respects and celebrates over 60,000 years of continuous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories whilst recognising our shared national identity from the time of colonisation. Our vision is that all Australians will have a deep knowledge and understanding of our nation’s ancient and modern history and an acknowledgement of past injustices and the current impacts of these injustices.
At Naremburn School, we are building relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoplea and the broader Australian community are equal, equitable and respectful.
Our community of staff and students will continue to respectfully explore and appreciate the history of the Cammeraygal people and the Country on which we work and learn. We will continue to actively engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, further developing an understanding of Country and reflecting on our personal connections to the land. We will respectfully explore the languages of the Aboriginal peoples of the Eora Nation, guided by First Nations organisations and scholars.
Naremburn School will be a school without racism which embraces and celebrates the diversity among its staff and students. The dimensions of reconciliation will be permanently embedded within the school and will be continuously evolving.
