Our vision as a whole is to build and strengthen positive, respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and other non-Indigenous Australians through creating a community that sees the value in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s diverse cultures and contributions. Our goal is to work together and educate ourselves, our service, families and children about the true history of Australia and events impacting First Nations peoples and cultures, so we can promote equality and equity and move forward towards a unified future. We can strive to do this through respectfully sharing the histories of and valuing the First Languages of the local and nationwide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We recognise that to educate others, we need to further our cultural responsiveness and enrich our own understandings of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and communities. Our vision is that as we proceed on this journey everyone within our Educare community will adopt our values of inclusivity, reconciliation, and equality.
