Goodstart Epping

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Goodstart Early Learning Epping recognises and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and as the custodians of the Lands across Australia on which we all live and work.

Our vision for reconciliation is for Goodstart Epping to engage with reconciliation on both a personal and professional level, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social justice, equality and equity. Through this vision, we are laying the foundations to grow future generations that value and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage as a proud part of a shared national identity.

We acknowledge the link we have with the ancient histories of Australia through the Lands from which our early learning environments have been created. Goodstart Epping is committed to building partnerships based on trust, respect and recognition of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as enduring, living cultures and we respect and value the cultural insights that we gain as we establish strong links between Goodstart Epping and the children, families and communities with whom we work.

On a foundation of equity, integrity and respect we will continue to create high quality early learning experiences for all children. Goodstart Epping commits to reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians and supports equality and equity in education and employment.
