My Acknowledgement of Country

overview

An Acknowledgment of Country is an important part of events and everyday practices such as school assemblies, meetings and presentations. An Acknowledgment of Country acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the local area and is an opportunity to pay respect to Elders and the connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to community and Country. In this activity, staff develop their own unique and meaningful Acknowledgement of Country.
